My name is Brandon Lee Neal Hudson. I am 17 years old. I’ll turn eighteen years old on December 1st of this year. I’m a senior at West Johnston High School. I live with my mom and youngest brother, whose ten years old and in the fifth grade at Dixon Road Elementary. I spend my free time helping my mother around the house, as well as a neighbor when they are in need of my help.

I work part time with my father who lives at Atlantic beach and has a house in Benson, NC. My father is a paint contractor and my mom is a stay at home mom who is starting her own photography business, I help my mom with her editing part of her pictures. I also volunteered almost every year with vacation bible school and enjoy helping the kids at church. I also like to volunteer with my little brother’s baseball team, be it spring or fall.

After graduating from High School I plan on going into the military. I’m hoping to be placed in the area of Diesel Mechanic for the military. I would work on any military equipment that helps to protect our country. From jeeps to tanks, guns to ships, depending on the branch I decide to join.

My mom’s dad was in the army for 32 years and I can’t think of a better job or a better way to serve my country. After I retire from the military I will have the skills to open up my own diesel mechanics shop. This is a field that not many people go into, diesel and gas engines are two totally separate areas of mechanics. I will be a middle aged man when I retire from the military. My pension and also my diesel mechanics business will be able to live out the American Dream.

In doing so, I will take care of my family and enjoy my job that I will wake up to each morning. I’m a person who likes to serve, serve in church, my community, my family and to protect and serve my country. The satisfaction in helping others in need is an awesome feeling. It fills me with a sense of accomplishment and joy to see that the acts I have done to put a smile on someone’s face.
